Listen, life gets busytrust me girl, I know. Especially when we are raising little ones, working and trying to build our dream life.

But what we can’t compromise is our own energy and fulfillment as we walk through the busyness of life. I had to learn this the hard way, especially after having kids and constantly having a million and one things to do.

At first, I would say that I wanted more time, but what I really wanted was more energy and to be more PRESENT. There are 24 hours in the day, that is it. So why not make the most of it while also creating that desired life of yours?

Don’t let THIS be a limiting belief.

The lovely internet likes to talk about busyness as a bad thing. And don’t get me wrong – sometimes it is when all you are is busy with no purposeful moments of just BEING and soaking in all that you are doing.

But as moms, it WILL be busy. But that doesn’t mean that 10-15 years of your life has to be in “survival” mode while not fully caring for yourself. This is a complex topic that I can’t address in this post alone, but my hope today is to remind you that there are ways to LOVE living life even if it calls for a busy season.

As a matter of fact, it’s possible to actually level up during that season and become the best version of you not just for yourself but your family too!

In today’s blog post, I am sharing 14 easy actionable ways to level up your life and energy from that of negativity, exhaustion, lack of amusement…to positivity, joy and intentionality. It’s what I call leveling up and glowing up simultaneously while growing that beautiful big o’ empire of yours.

Here are my 14 tried and tested actions that can shift your energy and level up your life:

1. Go to a local cafe and strike a conversation with someone in line – this will help you with socializing, and even networking.

2. Offer a compliment to someone at work or in your home – this brings you straight into a good mood, and you never know what that one compliment can do and mean to someone at that exact moment.

3. Wake up, and before anything else write down 3 things you are grateful for, recite them, take a picture of it – this is my FAVORITE way to start my mornings. Despite anything crazy going on in life there is always something to be grateful for. It’s all about perspective and as human beings, we tend to focus on the negative first.

4. Write a vision statement – it should express how your ideal week looks, and the characteristics YOU embody as your best version. Then take a picture of it and put it as your phone screen saver.

5. Think of something your partner loves and get it for him/her (or do it) for him/her – something we are so consumed by all we have going on, that we forget to pay attention to the little things. And this holds especially true with our loved ones who have to see us in our ups and down. So, help bring a smile to their face.

6. Call/text a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while and tell them how much you appreciate them – with work, home, kids…friendships and just talking to people becomes less and less of a thing. But don’t forget to check in or tell someone how much they impacted your life. It’s uplifting and reminds you that you are not alone.

7. Look your best. Yes, looks may not matter…but sometimes it makes the difference as to how you show up in a certain space or situation. Dress up. Glam up. Know that you are so freakin’ amazing.

8. Pick one space in the home to be luxurious or pretty – What do I mean by this? Take your side of the bathroom or nightstand and make it feel cozy or however you like it. A candle, books, fluffy rug (whatever it is). And let that be your little place that brings a small onto your face.

9. Do one appearance change – Now, I know people have mixed emotions about this…but hear me out. How we present ourselves and how we look can go a long way with our confidence and therefore energy.

So, decide that this season you’ll get a new hairdo/cut, nails fixed up or a new wardrobe. Whatever it is, do something to help elevate your appearance.

10. Read at least 5 pages of a self-development book – Now, I talk a ton about morning routines, but I actually love reading (or listening) to a self-development book in the evening. It is a great way to recap my day reminding myself of why I am doing what I am doing. Another alternative is listening to a podcast. I love listening to Goal Digger by Jenna Kutcher and She Means Business by Carrie Green.

11. Move your body for at least 10 minutes – if you follow me, you know I can’t go without mentioning this. Movement is one of the BEST ways to truly support you in gaining more energy and general positivity. And this does not have to be a workout every single day, it could be walking, dancing, going up the stairs or just moving around while making dinner.

12. Glam up your car – you don’t actually need to buy anything expensive; you can go to the dollar store or Walmart and get some cute things with just $20. But the way your car looks and feels can also strongly impact how you feel.

13. Declutter one space in your home this week – start with the room you spend the most time in and just clear out unnecessary items. When your space is cleared out, it truly is a breath of fresh air. You feel more at ease and less tense.

14. Say 3-5 affirmations with your kids every morning – affirmations are one of the most powerful ways to stay focused and also just hype yourself up. I love affirmations! But most importantly, I love reciting them with my kids. That way I remind them of how amazing they are too. Here is a gratitude affirmation and abundance affirmation that I have up on my YouTube.

Don’t forget that nothing in your life will change until YOU decide to do something different.

The goal here is for you to realize that little changes in your day can make a world of a difference when it comes to your mood and attitude. You can actively work on how to level up your life despite the long to do list. Life can be built purposefully, intentionally and joyfully (even through the chaos).

So, your task is to pick at least 2-3 of the actions listed above and commit to do it this week. Not next week, but this week! Write it down on a sticky note, in your notebook or the notes app on your phone. Put a reminder on your phone so you don’t forget.

But start working on shifting your energy for the betterment of your life.
